The Yarden T2 reveals wild berry and plum aromas, which are complemented by floral, spice and chocolate notes and rounded off by the subtle taste of French oak. This fascinating blend of two traditional Portuguese grape varieties with its full body, combines its full flavors with a long finish.
Even if the Yarden T2 is already a pleasure, it will continue to mature in the bottle and remain a taste experience for several years. Yarden T2 goes well with most beef or lamb dishes, such as a nice beef fillet or a tender braised lamb shank.
Yarden T2 was made from the two classic Portuguese grape varieties Touriga Nacional and Tinta Cao, which are primarily used for the great wines of the Douro Valley. The grapes were grown at the Yonatan Springs and Geshur vineyards, located at 700 and 400 meters altitude respectively, and matured in French oak barrels for 18 months after harvest. The 2009 vintage is only the second release of this wine.
