Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot
Recanati Spécial Réserve is the winery's flagship. The production of this wine combines the best grapes of each vintage with the latest and greatest oak barrels, meticulous attention to the smallest detail and a large dose of love and patience. The result is a harmonious, rich and full-bodied wine with intense tannins and balanced acidity, which gives the wine great aging potential. The aromas of black plums and sweet cherries, accompanied by spicy nuances, followed by a provocatively long lingering of the flavor of this wine, developed during the 19 months of aging in French oak barrels.
The vineyard
This wine was blended from 84% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Kadita vineyard in the Upper Galilee and 16% Merlot harvested from the vineyard at Kibbutz Manara.
The two vineyards are located at around 800 meters above sea level. The cool climate that prevails in this region and the stony but well-watered soil provide ideal conditions for growing these noble grapes.
