Yogev is the biblical term for a farmer, this name was chosen to appropriately honor the winegrowers.
The Cabernet-Sauvignon Merlot is a blend of the Cabernet-Sauvignon grape, harvested in the Eli Heiman vineyard in Karmel Yosef, and the Merlot grape, from the Dror Eliraz Moshav Lachish vineyard. Both grapes are harvested by hand at different times, fermented on the skins for 2 weeks and then matured in oak barrels for 8 months. Both wines are blended into the Cabernet-Sauvignon Merlot blend before bottling. The result is a medium-bodied red wine, rich in tannins, with a fruity aroma of red fruits and hints of fresh herbs. Enjoy it with grilled meat, hearty stews and strong cheese. Although it is already a delight, it can still mature for a few more years.
