Our grapes grow in the desert on a 200 meter high dune. The extreme dryness offers the vines protection and the cool nights enable very good acid build-up.
This year we harvested twice as much as usual. Our vines produced a fine and rare wine from which the history of Israel and our passion for the desert can be tasted.
The wine matured in barrique barrels for 10 months. Our vineyard is located not far from the biblical camp of the Children of Israel in Kadesh Barnea on the border with Egypt. The Bar Giyora winery is owned by the Schneider family.
