Carmel Winery
The founding of the Carmel winery in 1882 goes back to Baron Edmond de Rothschild, who revived the historic wine culture in the Holy Land with great financial commitment and by sending French wine experts. This is why French grape varieties ripen in Israel's sunny, almost rainless climate under almost ideal soil conditions and give the wines their fullness and harmony. This is where the most favorable growing conditions and the most modern cellar technology come together. These are exclusively kosher wines, which is also documented by the traditional kosher symbol on the back label.
Around 800 winegrowers from all of Israel's wine regions are united in the Societé Cooperative Vigneronne des Grandes Caves, which was founded in 1906. The range of exquisite, harmonious wines is correspondingly diverse.
