The 2016 Yarden Merlot Allone Habashan Vineyard exhibits ripe cherry and blackberry fruit notes, with layers of earth, anise and smoked meats. This single vineyard Merlot is full-flavored, rich and complex. The wine aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. While pleasing to drink even upon release, the 2016 Yarden Merlot Allone Habashan Vineyard will improve in the bottle over the coming years, and should stay in outstanding drinking condition for a decade or more from vintage. Great for celebrations, the wine partners exceptionally well with lamb chops, a ribeye roast with a herb and pepper crust, or a rich cassoulet. The wine was produced in a limited edition.
