The vineyards: The grapes for the Reserve Shiraz come from our vineyards in Elkosh, which are located at an altitude of 750 meters.
Wine Production: Due to the proximity of the vineyards to the winery, grapes were transported to the winery within minutes of harvest. After fermentation, the wine was transferred to new French oak barrels where it was allowed to mature for approximately 13 months.
Tasting Notes: Shiraz exhibits a rich complex of fruit characters, harmoniously balanced by earthy notes and tobacco, leather and licorice. It is a rich, powerful wine with gentle integrated tannins that give a spicy, velvety feel and a long finish.

The grapes were picked in the last week of September.
During fermentation the grape cap was pumped over several times a day to increase the depth of color and levels of extraction of the wine in the gentlest way possible. Before completing fermentation the wine was pressed out, and the free run wine was separated and used to make this wine. The wine was aged in second and third use French-oak barrels for thirteen months.
