The Yarden Bar'on Vineyard is made from a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Syrah and 11% Petit Verdot. These percentages reflect the proportions of these varieties in this vineyard, thus giving a unique perspective into the specific site. THE WINE The Yarden Bar'on Vineyard features ripe red and black fruit notes, along with characters of pipe tobacco, anise, smoke and espresso, rounded out by hints of herb. This single vineyard blended wine is complex, full-bodied and richly flavored. The wine aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Though enjoyable while relatively young, the Yarden Bar'on Vineyard will improve in the bottle in the coming years, and should stay in great drinking condition for well over a decade from harvest. Suitable for festive occasions, the wine goes wonderfully with ribeye steaks, slow-cooked barbequed beef ribs, or a garlic-rubbed leg of lamb. The Yarden Bar'on Vineyard was produced in a limited edition of 20 barrels.
